Malta Oil & Gas is managed by Paul Thomson

Paul Thomson, has spent most of his professional career in the oil and gas industry, having over 30 years of experience in the fields of drilling and exploration. He started contracting for the American company ODECO in the early eighties, and was Rig Superintendent within 10 years, working for various major oil companies in the process. During this time, he worked in the North Sea and North Africa. Paul then contracted for Shell in the North Sea and became Head of the Offshore Drilling Department. Since 2001 he has consulted on oil & gas well-management and the development of oil & gas wells, both from a production as well as an exploration point of view for Texaco, Chevron, Petro-Canada and Canadian National Resources and Total. He has specialised in the exploration and extraction of oil within depleted reservoirs and new oil fields, and has successfully completed, on a personal level, various project management roles for oil majors and mid-sized producers. Paul has established an international reputation as a high achiever focused on the attainment of exceptional technical and oil business objectives.
